Athirapally Waterfall
Originating from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats Athirapally the 80 feet (24-metre) high waterfall is the largest in Kerala. Because of its breath-taking beauty the falls has been a location in many Malayalam films and a few Bollywood, Tamil and Telugu films. Athirapally is about 63 km away from Thrissur.

Vazhachal Waterfall
The Vazhachal waterfall is just 5 km away from the Athirapally Water Falls is close the dense green forest and is home to many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna. This is the only place in the Western Ghats where four endangered Hornbill species are seen. Vazhachal is about 68 km away from Thrissur.
