Aali Theyyam is also known as Aali Bootham or Aali Chamundi is a Mappila Theyyam or Muslim Theyyam.

This Theyyam is mainly performed at Kasaragod Kumbala Aarikadi Padarkulangara Bhagavathi Temple. The people at Kumbala call the Temple where Aali Bootham performed as Aalibootha Sthanam.
Myth
Aali was a black magician and he gave a lot of disturbances to the people at Kumbala. Once he tried to disturb the beautiful girl of a Thiya family at Kumbala and the head of the family paryed the family Goddess Padarkulangara Bhagavathi, and Padarkulangara Bhagavathi gave the duty of to another Goddess Puthiya Bhagavathi, Puthiya Bhagavathi dressed like a beautiful girl invited Aali to a nearby pond and killed Aali.

Later the disturbance in the village increased and the astrologer told to give Aali a Theyyam form.
